MESSAGE FROM THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT
Incorporated in 1949, The Village of Superior is an independent community located immediately South of the Cities of Superior, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota. In spite of the close proximity to these much larger cities, our village maintains a strong separate identity and independence. The village has it’s own elected president and two trustees and has the power to levy taxes.
Our village is responsible for our growth and development, we have our own zoning board and administer building inspections within the village. We have a strong business community that promotes itself as well as the village.
Our village has it’s own department of public works, and maintains it’s streets, parks ball fields, and eco-friendly waste water treatment plant.
We have a low cost, economical, citizen friendly government, and will continue to promote our independent growth and development.
Our 2006 population is 595, with a property valuation of $25,000,000.
